Shovel-Lifting Straps
Shovel-Lifting Straps

Although they may operate somewhat differently, Shovel-Lifting Straps can provide the leverage that can reduce the effort it takes to shovel snow, soil, sand, gravel, mulch, grain, or other material. One type clamps to both sides of the shovel blade (pictured), with the user grasping the strap at its mid-point. Another type attaches at the intersection of the blade and handle with the user grasping a grip fixed on the opposite end of the strap. Both types reportedly work on any long-handled tool (e.g., shovel, pitch fork, rake, hoe), and can be adjusted for any height person and/or posture preference-standing upright or bending.

Estimated Cost Cost range: $15-$24
