Kapten Mobility Talking GPS
The Kapten Mobility Talking GPS is a pocket-size, battery-operated, voice-recognition, talking, personal navigation device designed to assist persons with low vision or who are blind. The hand-held unit provides not only one's precise location, but also a description of the surroundings. It also saves preferred locations as well as walking and public transportation routes. Data input is by either the user's voice or tactile keyboard. Other features include digital maps of the entire U.S., a where-am-I button, points-of-interest list, reverse tracking, voice memo tag for recorded tracts, MP3 and DAISY (audio books) players, and embedded help mode. The device comes with wall charger, USB cable, headset with mic, speech recognition button, and carrying lanyard.
