Homemade Front-Mounted Root Grubber
Designed so that he wouldn't have to turn in the tractor seat to operate a rear-mounted tree/brush grubber, Temple, TX, rancher William Matush fabricated this Homemade Front-Mounted Root Grubber, which fits on the tractor loader's bale spear frame-minus spear and support rods. The device consists of a V-shaped cutting foot (made from a 1x12x16-inch steel plate) welded to a scrap piece of 8-inch I-beam, onto which he welded supports that bolt to the bale spear frame.
