Wheeled Post-Hole Auger
A push-type Wheeled Post-Hole Auger (or "earth drill") is a metal frame (approximately 6 feet long) with a gasoline engine-powered hydraulic pump and rubber tires at one end and the auger just in front of the handlebars at the other end. The engine and pump can reportedly generate up to 300 foot-pounds of torque for digging through soils or vegetation. The handlebars swivel, which allows one to drill holes on sloping terrain or right up next to obstacles such as walls or fences. The device accommodates augers from 2 to 18 inches in diameter, and extensions allow it to go over 5 feet deep.
