Roto-Tiller Mobility Device
Seen immediately ahead of a stationary access ramp is the wheelchair-accommodating, two-wheeled platform that’s attached behind the de-tined’ JD roto-tiller being operated by an adult male.

Friendship, TN, farmer John Mays' modified Roto-Tiller Mobility Device provides longer operation and greater access to his farm than his battery-powered golf cart. Using a rear-tined roto-tiller, he removed the tines and in their place welded a hinge to fasten a two-wheeled cart (his "operator's station"). The hinged joint between the cart and tiller allows the device to pivot from side to side but remain vertically rigid to support the front of the cart. To access the device, Mays wheels up a folding ramp onto the cart platform; to steer it, he pushes the tiller handles from side to side.
