Using a Bungee Cord (i.e., a stretchable cord with a hook at each end) can make PTO coupling easier by looping the cord under the shaft and latching the hooks to a convenient point on the tractor to support the shaft weight while coupling. The strong arm can then be used to operate the collar lock and slide the shaft into place.
