As its name implies, the Argo Amphibious ATV can travel on water as well as on land. It is available with either six- or eight-wheel drive (tracks optional), hand controls, and other special features, such as adaptive seating with restraint belts, a wheelchair hoist, or a transfer board. Equipped with skid steering, a two-speed forward transmission, and a 16- or 20-horsepower engine, the Argo Amphibious has a 20-mile-per-hour land speed, a 2-mile-per-hour water speed, and a 1,000-pound load capacity. It has been successfully modified for individuals with both paraplegia and quadriplegia.
